This Privacy Policy explains what PrepScart collects, why, and what control you have. PrepScart is a job and referral discovery tool. We keep collection minimal: most of what we store never leaves your own browser.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

2.1 Data stored locally in your browser

The following is stored in your browser's local storage on your device and is not transmitted to us by the app itself:

• Your job preferences (skills, roles, locations, work modes, notice period).
• Your dream companies and dream job preferences.
• Jobs you have saved or applied to.
• A random local profile identifier used to personalise match scores.

Because this lives in your browser, clearing your browser data removes it. It is not recoverable by us.

2.2 Data stored in Google Firebase

PrepScart uses Google Firebase (Firestore) to serve public reference data — job listings, company profiles and lookup lists. These are public documents and are not tied to your identity.

TODO — if you write any authenticated user records to Firebase, describe exactly which fields are stored server-side and where they are hosted (e.g. "Firebase Cloud Firestore, project prepscart-XXXXX, region asia-south1"). If you do not store user records server-side, state that explicitly.

2.3 Data collected by third parties

We serve advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may collect information to personalise ads, including cookies and device identifiers. Google's own handling is described in:

3. Cookies

Cookies on PrepScart fall into two groups:

• Strictly necessary — required for the site to function.
• Advertising / analytics — set by Google AdSense and used to select and measure ads. These are optional and, for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, are only used after consent.

4. Legal basis (EEA / UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for advertising cookies and personalised advertising, and on our legitimate interest in operating a job discovery service for the rest. You can withdraw consent at any time via the consent banner's "Manage choices" link, or through Google Ads Settings.

5. Children

PrepScart is aimed at job seekers of working age and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Because most PrepScart data lives in your own browser, the fastest route is to clear your browser storage. For anything held by us, contact TODO-privacy@example.com.

7. Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top will move whenever we do.
