About the role
'The Senior Tableau Developer will own the end-to-end delivery of marketing and commercial business intelligence products, from solution design and data modeling through dashboard development, SQL validation, testing, UAT, and production release. The role requires strong expertise in Tableau, SQL, data modeling, visualization, performance optimization, and enterprise Tableau environment management. The developer will work independently with business stakeholders and product owners to translate requirements into scalable and intuitive analytical solutions.',
Responsibilities
- 'Translate business requirements into technical dashboard solutions, data specifications, and visualization designs.',
- 'Develop scalable Tableau dashboards using advanced visualizations, calculated fields, parameters, LOD expressions, and Tableau best practices.',
- 'Optimize dashboard performance through appropriate extract/live strategies, efficient calculations, indexing, and data modeling.',
- 'Validate Tableau dashboard results against database records using advanced SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, and window functions.',
- 'Manage development, staging, and production environments, including workbook publishing, permissions, configurations, and release processes.',
Requirements
- '6-9 years of professional experience with at least 6 years of hands-on Tableau experience.',
- 'Expert proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud/Server, and Tableau Prep, including RLS, parameter actions, and dynamic dashboards.',
- 'Strong SQL skills including CTEs, window functions, complex joins, data validation, and experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.',
- 'Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, and point-in-time snapshot data.',
- 'Experience managing enterprise Tableau environments, permissions, projects, workbooks, and Dev/Prod deployment processes.',
- 'Strong English communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently in a UK-shift environment.'
