About the role

'The Senior Engineer Data - Network LAN/WAN role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves working with Cisco routing and switching technologies, LAN/WAN connectivity, network protocols, VPN technologies, carrier circuits, and network monitoring tools. The engineer will be responsible for resolving complex production network issues, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring timely resolution of infrastructure problems in a 24x7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• 'Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure and production network issues.',
• 'Troubleshoot routing, switching, IPsec, NAT, PAT, GRE, VPN, MPLS, and related technologies.',
• 'Coordinate with telecom carriers to troubleshoot WAN circuits and drive issues through resolution.',
• 'Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, RIP, and IS-IS.',
• 'Troubleshoot LAN technologies including STP, VTP, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, wireless, and WLC environments.',

Requirements

• '2-3 years of experience in a technical network engineering role.',
• 'Strong understanding of Cisco routing, switching, LAN/WAN, and network troubleshooting.',
• 'Knowledge of routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, RIP, and IS-IS.',
• 'Understanding of IPsec, GRE, site-to-site VPN, DMVPN, MPLS, QoS, and multicast.',
• 'Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.',
